We are beginning to get information regarding City Meet. Here is what we have so far….

GKAISA CITY MEET CHAMPIONSHIPS

The GKAISA City Meet will be held July 28-30 at the Allan Jones Aquatic Center at UT.

Parking

There will be NO onsite parking at the Allan Jones Aquatic Center. Our tent will be next to the Aquatic Center (close to the stairs), and you can drop off your swimmers and your belongings there; however, you will need to be quick, as UT Police will monitor to be sure that traffic continues to flow. Parking will be available at the Metron Center Garage, and shuttle busses will depart from there to the Aquatic Center continually throughout the Meet. We have been warned NOT to park at University Commons… you may be towed if you park there.

Heat Sheets

Heat Sheets will be for sale at City Meet. Please consider purchasing a Heat Sheet so that you have the timeline and your swimmers’ events. NOTE: We will not have a timeline until Friday morning for the Friday events, and Saturday morning for the Saturday events.

Warm-Ups

Our warm-ups are scheduled from 8:10-8:25 am on both Friday and Saturday. We will be in Lanes 4-5 in the pool nearest to the scoreboard.

Our warm-up for Sunday is scheduled from 7:40-7:55 am. We will be in Lane 4 in the pool nearest the scoreboard.

Be sure to have your swimmers at our tent at least 20 minutes prior to our scheduled warm-up.

CITY MEET T-SHIRTS

City Meet t-shirts will be picked up by Shawna Davis and delivered to our tent on Friday morning. She will have the list of people who pre-ordered and paid for their shirts. We will have the Saturday shirts in the tent on Saturday morning. I’m looking for a parent who will be responsible for handing those out.

SAVE THE DATE: Sunday, August 13 for the Season-End Banquet at Calhoun’s on the River. Cost is $20 for attendees 11-Up and $10 for attendees 10-Under. Please sign up by going to the “Products” section on our website. We look forward to celebrating a great season!
