Hi Swim Fam!

Please pay close attention to this email as we have lots of updates about the end of the season. We cannot believe we only have a little more time left this summer and cannot wait for all of the fun things we have planned!

Dog Days of Summer Meet

Our Dog Days Meet is the most fun meet of the year! This meet is for ALL swimmers (including our Puppies!). Swimmers may swim in the Zoomies (freestyle), Best in Show (medley relay), Fetch (kickboard tennis ball relay), Best Barkstroke (barking and backstroke), and more! Puppy parents: Junior coaches will be available and in the water to swim with your swimmer. We will also have kickboards or noodles to help your swimmers. Swimmers will earn candy, chips, drinks, etc for making it across the pool (even if they need help!). Register your swimmer now in Swimtopia (including your Puppy swimmers). If your swimmer is swimming in the Dog Days Meet, please sign up for a job in Swimtopia. Many of the Dog Days jobs are snack donations and require no time on deck during the meet. Any leftover snacks and treats will be used for fun practices and City Meet.

There is a very exciting Parent Relay at our Dog Days Meet! You do not need to be a seasoned swimmer to swim in our Parent Relay. The more parents we have the more fun the relays are! Bring a swimsuit and plan to sign up on deck during warmups at the Dog Days Meet!

City Meet

City Meet registration is now closed. Our team is utilizing ParkMobile for City Meet parking this year. If you would like a parking pass you may go to the booth inside Allan Jones the morning of the meet. There will be a LIMITED number of passes available for $25. We will send out an email with information about volunteer sign ups when we have that information from GKAISA. 

Our tent will be outside for City Meet and we will send the location as soon as we have it. Plan for a long day outside and pack plenty for food and drink to keep everyone fed and hydrated. You'll also want to pack chairs, blankets, and some games to keep swimmers entertained.

End of Year Banquet and Pool Party

Our end of year banquet and pool party is scheduled for Friday, July 31 from 6-8pm. We will eat Salsarita's and celebrate our swimmers with awards and then move to the pool for a fun, family friendly pool party! Please be on time so that we are able to finish awards on time and get to the pool! Please register and pay for your family here by Sunday, July 25: https://universityswimclub.swimtopia.com/

We LOVE to shower our coaches with a year end financial cash gift at our End of Year Banquet! If you'd like to send them some love (they deserve it!), please venmo to @drbford or bring cash to a board member on deck at practice. Thank you!

End of Season Practices

Our last practice of the season is the morning and evening of Wednesday, July 22 (it will be a fun one!). We do not practice the week after City Meet. We will celebrate that week with the banquet and pool party.
