    City Meet Information

    Good Afternoon,

It's crazy to think that City Meet is less than 48 hours away!! We are so excited to have our superhero swimmers show off all their amazing progress so far! I have some information and updates to share with everyone!

    WARMUPS

Warmups are different each day. Finals warmup times will not be decided until after the conclusion of Friday's events.

10 and unders (Thursday): 1:40-2:00pm. We will be in lanes 1-3 on the diving well side. Please try to arrive by 1:20 so you can find parking and set up before warmups.

11 and olders (Friday): 8:25-8:40am. We will have lanes 6-8 on the scoreboard side. Please plan to arrive by 8:00 so you can find parking and set up before warmups.

TNAQ normally has a warmup for TNAQ swimmers as well. Those swimmers are welcome to warmup there just please make sure to check-in, so the team knows you are here.

    TENT

Attached is a map of all tents for City. All swimmers are required to be set up in the tent area when not swimming. Bathrooms are available in both SAC and AJIAC. Families are also encouraged to bring chairs to sit in, blankets/tarps to put on the ground, and coolers for water and food.

    ENTRIES

Entries for City are locked in. If you cannot make it to your event for any reason, you must come talk to Coach Robbie. City Meet is different to other meets and has a different procedure for scratching from an event.

Relay participants are final though the order for the relays aren't decided until the day of.

Attached is a list of all your swimmers' entries.

    CLERK OF COURSE

All swimmers 10 years and younger must have their Full name, Team name, and Age written in sharpie on their back right shoulder. This meet is very big, and it is extremely important to make sure clerk of course can identify your swimmer quickly. This also helps others assist your swimmer to get where they need if they get lost.

It is also an extremely good idea to write your swimmers events, heats, and lanes somewhere they can see as well.

All swimmers are required to be in clerk of course prior to their event. City Meet will be making first, second, and third calls for all events. USC Swimmers will be required to be in clerk of course by second call. We do not want swimmers getting lost, forgotten, or missing their events. Parents and swimmers please help each other out as much as possible.

    COACHES

Your coaches will primarily be on deck during City. Please make sure your swimmers come talk to one of us before and after their events. We want to help remind them and help provide feedback as much as possible, though we will be running all over the place the whole time.

    FINALS

Finals will be held on Saturday July 12th. We have quite a few swimmers and relays that are expected to come back in their event. Attached are the psych sheets for both days. Please look them over and see where your swimmer is expected to place.

Finals take the top 16 swimmers/relays in each event as automatically qualifying. Top 8 are "A" final the next 8 are "B" final. Those who place 17 or 18 are first and second alternates respectively.

We will be sending out results as they are posted during the meet. If your swimmers' final, please make plans to come on Saturday. If you are absolutely not able to you must let Coach Robbie know as soon as possible so he can let the alternate swimmers know. Relay swimmers please make every effort to come.

Finalist score points for the team and we want as many points as possible!

    SCHEDULE

Attached is the schedule for each day. Know that the schedule is always subject to change depending on how the meet goes and if any issues arise.

    OTHER IMPORTANT INFO

Parents will not be allowed on deck. Only swimmers, coaches, and volunteers will be allowed on deck. This is for the safety of all swimmers from all teams.

Pop-up canopies will not be allowed. UT does not allow us to set up in the grassy area or on the sidewalks. All those areas must stay clear. You are welcome to bring towels or tarps to hang from our tent and block the Sun.

After each of your swimmers' events, there will be candy in the tent for them to pick from! Make sure to tell our wonderful board members thank you!
