This Week
Good afternoon!
We had such an exciting meet last night at Maryville! Thank you to everyone who came and volunteered to help run the meet! As well as a big thank you to everyone staying through the storm delay! That was an unforeseen complication and we appreciate everyone making the restart as smooth as possible!
MAFD
Final score:
USC: 311
MAFD: 336
This was an incredibly close meet and I could not be more proud of our swimmers. We faced almost double the number of swimmers and came within 30 points of winning. Despite the odds, our swimmers did their best and made huge improvements each time they hit the water! We will be working on some more technique work to get rid of as many DQs as possible (and maybe a clinic on "how to wear goggles properly so they don't fall off").
GP
RSVPs for our last dual meet of the year are due on Sunday. Please go ahead and let us know if you are coming or not, it very much helps us out when planning entries (RSVPs are due Sunday). We would love to see everyone there and end off with a bang! Reminder: It will be at the Gulf Park Pool.

CCC
This Friday we will be finishing our meet with Cherokee Country Club. It is still at home though warmups will begin at 6:45. All swimmers will warmup in the water from 7:00pm-7:15pm. Please do not be late as we will not have extra time.
RSVPs for the makeup meet are due today. Please let us know before the end of today as entries for this are more difficult and time consuming than normal entries. We will not be able to accommodate changes after today. That means if your swimmer is on a relay and you do not come, three other swimmers will not be able to swim at all.

SMI
Smokey Mountain Invitational is now less than a month away. It will be the final meet of the year. We are encouraging as many swimmers as possible to come. Please RSVP as soon as you can. The team pays for entries so the sooner we have a head count the better. The more people that show up, the more fun it is! The coaches will also be swimming in a coaches relay to add to the fun of the meet! A reminder, if you have competed in a USA sanctioned swim meet since August 1 of last year, you are ineligible to compete at SMI.
Theme: TBD
CITY MEET
The penultimate and most important meet of the season is city meet. It is hard to believe we are only two weeks away already! RSVPs for City are due by Sunday (same as GP). City Meet entries cannot be changed the way a normal meet can so if you forget to RSVP before the deadline, there is nothing the coaches can do. We will be reminding people as much as possible but please RSVP as soon as you can.
Thursday July 10: 10 and under prelims
Friday July 11: 11 and older prelims
Saturday July 12: All ages Finals
If you cannot attend both finals and prelims please leave a note for the coaches letting us know. Reminder: You must swim in at least one regular season swim meet to be eligible to swim at City meet. Thank you and we hope to have 100% attendance for City!
Theme: Super Hero City!
