    Next week information

    Good afternoon swim families,

I hope everyone has a great weekend and gets lots of rest because this coming week is a bit of a doozy.

    MAFD

On Tuesday we will be having our Maryville-Alcoa Flying Dolphins meet. This is not a home meet and will be at the Springbrook pool (same pool as SMI). Warmups are at 5:30 please arrive at the pool no later than 5:15, earlier if possible. We have some different pool information the coaches will be discussing with the swimmers. The meet theme is TIE DYE. Thank you to everyone who joined us this past Wednesday on tie dye day, we cannot wait to see everyone's creations. More specific information to come on Tuesday. Please RSVP!

    CCC

Our continuation of this past weeks stormed out Cherokee Country Club meet will happen next Friday 6/27. We managed to get through 8 and under girls' backstroke so we will be starting at event 32, 8 and under boys' backstroke. We will also (pending timeline approval) have our senior swim. Warmups will be at 7:00pm and the meet will be done before 10:00. Please plan to arrive no later than 6:30. Warmups will only be 15 minutes per team so the entire team will be warming up from 7:00-7:15. The meet will begin at 7:30. RSVPs have not been posted yet but should by monday, you will recieve an email or alert that RSVPs are open to sign up for the end of the meet. The meet theme is still eat my bubbles!

    CITY MEET

It's crazy to think that we already have to be thinking about city meet but here we are. The annual City Championship Meet is a great opportunity for your swimmers to show off their skills and race some of the best competition anywhere. It can be a bit overwhelming, and a lot of information is going to be getting thrown around very quick but do not worry we are all a team and will work together to help each other out. To be eligible for City Meet, your swimmer must have swam in at least ONE meet. This is different to years past where the rule was two. Because of our accelerated summer timeline, you only need one meet to be eligible. ORANGE AND WHITE MEET DOES NOT COUNT. The meets that do count are: PFY, CCC, MAFD, and GP. We still have three opportunities to become eligible. We highly encourage as many swimmersas possible to go. Please get your RSVPs yes of no in as soon as possible. It helps the couches out a lot. Thank you!

    WATER

It is getting extremely hot outside. Please continue to encourage your swimmers to bring water with them to drylands and behind the lanes with them.

Thank you to everyone that made cleaning up and getting off the pool deck so smooth, quick, and safe this past week of storms. We very much appreciate you!

Have a relaxing weekend and see you all on Monday!
