    PFY meet 6/10

Good morning! I am so excited to get started with our competitive season this year at home against Pilot Family YMCA. I have a few announcements and reminders for everyone as we get ready for this afternoon.

    WARMUPS

Since we are the home team, warmups will be

    10 and unders: 4:45-5:15

    11 and olders: 5:00-5:30

PFY will warmup 5:30-6:00 and the meet will start AT 6:00. Please be at the pool before 4:45 and please do not be late.

    THEME

A reminder that our theme is color wars!

    8 and unders are yellow

    9-10 are blue

    11-12 are red

    13-14 are green

    15 and older are orange

We're excited to see everyone's outfits tonight!

    FOOD/WATER

A reminder that there are no concessions so please bring food, snacks, and things to stay hydrated for both parents, swimmers, and other spectators.

    SPORTSMANSHIP

We will be swimming against a different team this afternoon, I expect all members of our team to be kind and respectful to them, to the volunteers, to our lifeguards, and to each other. We love cheering and encourage you to cheer on our team and help anyone who might be struggling. We have a wonderful team, and I rarely ever have to say anything, but if you are having an issue with someone else then please tell a coach and let us help.

    HEAT/CHECKIN SHEETS

Please see attachments for the heat sheet and the athlete check-in sheet.

    OTHER

All 10 and under swimmers are required to have their name (First and Last), Age, and Team written on their back shoulder. This helps clerk of course seat the swimmers in the correct chairs and makes the meet flow smoother. (This is also a great opportunity to add your age groups color!)

Volunteer and Athlete check-in will be in their normal places on the upper deck of the pool

Spectator seating: Please plan on having all athletes on the pool deck at all times. The starter will be calling out what event is in the pool while clerk of course will have what event is being seated. Sitting on deck makes it much easier for clerk and/or a coach to find you before you miss an event.

If you need to not swim and event or leave early, you must tell Coach Robbie before you leave. Relays are the last event and if your swimmer is in them, they must stay until all of their events are completed.

Please reach out with any questions or concerns and we can't wait to see everyone for our first Dual Meet tonight!!
