We hope you are excited for a fun and full last week of summer swim!
JunkMeet
Tomorrow, July 17th, is JunkMeet! We will start set-up at Allan Jones at 5:00PM, warm ups are at 5:30PM and the meet will start at 6:00PM.
We will be selling concessions (Chick-fil-A sandwiches and pizza for entrees). The full concessions menu is attached! Please make plans to purchase from concessions as this helps our team defray costs of JunkMeet!
Thank you to everyone who signed up to help work a job at JunkMeet. We still need one person to work prize distribution, one person to be a 10 and under tent parent and 3 people to work concessions (we have structured concessions to where you will be able to watch your kids swim and swim in the parent relays!). You can sign up for jobs here.
There will be poster board and markers for poster making for City Meet at Monday morning practice and Tuesday evening practice (feel free to bring poster board and markers of your own as well!). Make plans to stop by the lobby tables and help us decorate our team tent and Allan Jones with USC team spirit!
GKAISA City Meet
You will get a lot of City Meet information in the next couple days!
Preliminaries for swimmers 10-Under will be held on Thursday, July 20. Warm-ups will begin at 1:00 pm, with a meet start time of 3:00 pm. Preliminaries for swimmers 11-Up will be held on Friday, July 21. Warm-ups will begin at 7:00 am, with a meet start time of 9:00 am. Finals will be held on Saturday, July 22 for the top 16 in each event. Warm-ups will begin at 7:00 am, with a start time of 9:00 am. Our specific warm up times will be published soon.
We are excited that our team tent will be right outside of the swimmer exit and near clerk of course again this year!
Gently used swim equipment (caps, goggles, kickboards, etc.) and swimsuits in all sizes will again be collected at City Meet for Emerald Youth’s Just Lead Learn-to-Swim and Community Swim Programs. A collection bin will be placed in front of the booth where heat sheets are sold.

Our team pictures turned out great! The images are yours to use for personal use as you wish. You may click on the "download all" button to download all of the digital image files at the same time. After clicking the "download all" button, you will receive an email shortly there after with a link to download all of your files. There is also the option to order prints directly from the gallery.

Ribbons from Emerald and Lenoir City Meets will be at practices this week and Junk Meet. Ribbons will not be at City Meet. If you don't pick them up by Wednesday morning, you will be able to get them at our end of the season banquet.
Our end of the season banquet is set for Sunday, August 6th, at 5:00PM. Please mark your calendars and look out for how to sign up to attend soon.
