Good afternoon swim families!

Please forgive the second email for today, but we wanted to let you know that entries are open for our next swim meet, Tuesday, June 20th at the Arnstein Jewish Community Center (AJCC) at 6800 Deane Hill Drive, 37919.  Please plan to arrive at 5 to check in and warm up; the meet will begin at 6pm.  AJCC is a fabulous, recently renovated pool and is a fun throwback for many of us long timers on the team.  Do note that there will not be enough seating on the deck for everyone, so plan on bringing camp chairs for you and your families.  Concessions will be available to benefit our team- and thank you all for supporting our team in this way!

Have you ever wanted to be part of the largest outdoor swimming meet in the United States?  You can!  The Smoky Mountain Invitational is July 8th ( 11 and up) and July 9th (10 and under).  It is a personal favorite of many of us on the team and a great way to build team friendships and camaraderie.  Sign ups for this event are open now!  This is event does require that all entered swimmers be able to swim across the lanes without assistance.  Please see the coaches if you have questions about your child entering SMI.  

And, finally, a most sincere thank you to all the parents who signed up to volunteer at our meet with Cherokee this week.  The first meet is always a lesson in controlled chaos and you all really pulled through in your commitment to the team and most importantly to our swimmers.  We really appreciate you!  And yes, we need you to volunteer again for our meet against Lenoir City.  All sign ups (swimmers and volunteers) can be found on our website, University Swim Club, or by downloading the Swimtopia app and signing in under University Swim Club with your password.
