It is hard to believe that summer will soon be here. We are gearing up for a great year and cannot wait to see you soon!

REGISTRATION IS NOW OPEN FOR THE SUMMER SWIM SEASON

Our summer swim season is set to begin in just over 2 months. We will kick off our season with a cook-out at Marble Pavilion at Lakeshore Park on Wednesday, May 31 at 6:00 p.m. We will meet the coaches, our teammates, and also have our Parent Meeting.

We are currently set to begin practice on Thursday, June 1 at the NEW UT SAC Outdoor Pool. (NOTE: The outdoor pool is still under construction and is expected to be ready for us. If it is not open when we begin practice, we will use the indoor pool.)

Registration will be handled through our website. Simply go to our site and click on the “Register Now” link on the right-hand side of the page. Also, be sure to enter your swimmers’ t-shirt sizes for the team shirt, including how the swimmer name should appear on the back of the shirt. We plan to order on the day of the first practice so that we can have them by the first meet.

Registration fee is $275 for the first swimmer in the family and $250 for each additional swimmer. This includes all practices, meet registration fees, one swim cap and the team t- shirt, as well as some other fun team activities and expenses. All payments should be made by credit card through our secure site.

You can also purchase parent t-shirts and UT parking passes when you register.

Returning families and families affiliated with UT can receive a $25 discount off the price of registration. This includes students and employees at UT, UT Medical Center and UT Federal Credit Union. The discount code is displayed on the Payment screen near the end of the registration process. The code is GOVOLS.

PRACTICE

Practice is set to begin on Thursday, June 1. Practices will be held at the BRAND NEW UT SAC Outdoor Pool at the UT Student Aquatic Center (NOTE: The outdoor pool is still under construction and is expected to be ready for us. If it is not open when we begin practice, we will use the indoor pool.). Our schedule is as follows:

Morning Practices (Monday through Friday)

8:45 – 9:15 am (Ages 6-Under)

9:15 – 10:00 am (Ages 7-10)

10:00-11:00 am (Ages 11-Up)

Evening Practices (Tuesday and Thursday)

7:00 – 8:30 pm (All Ages… 10-Under will leave at 7:45 pm)

MEET SCHEDULE

We have set our dual meets for the summer. Our schedule is as follows:

June 13 HOME versus Cherokee Country Club

June 20 HOME versus Lenoir City Bettas

June 29 AWAY versus Peninsula Club

July 11 AWAY versus Emerald Youth

The Smoky Mountain Invitational is set for July 8-9 at Springbrook Park in Alcoa. The GKAISA City Championship Meet is set for July 20-22 at Allan Jones Intercollegiate Aquatic Center.

TEAM SUIT

This year, we are planning on a solid black team suit. Please choose a Speedo Endurance suit. Suits can be purchased locally at Swim and Tri or on www.swimoutlet.com
