USC News & Notes: Last Week of USC Swimming!
Swim Families,
What a summer it has been, we cannot believe how fast it has gone by. This last week should be filled with a lot of fun!
Junk Fest
Attached are the entries for Junk Fest, please take a look at them. You will notice relays are not on that attachment because we have some mixed relays this meet. The second attachment has all the relays for the meet, please snap a picture of this so your swimmer is aware of what they are on!
Parents, if you do not see your name listed on a parent relay and want to swim on one, please respond to this ASAP!
Some relays have multiple people listed along the line, that is because the swimmers are all splitting the distance, 11&up kids have 50's while 10&unders have 25's. Parents, same thing for your relay, if there is a name next to yours, you get to split the distance with that person.
Practices this week:
We have officially entered our "resting" phase of the season, the swimmers will be doing more bursts of fast swimming, and less yardage so they will have more energy; this is something the swimming world calls taper. With that being said, practices will be ending earlier and earlier each day, just so parents are aware!
Tuesday PM will be our last PM practice of the summer, please only come to this practice if you are unable to make the morning practice! Again, we want the kids to gain energy this week for City Meet, not lose it.
Lastly, because of their taper your swimmers may be bounding off the walls, this is normal....but also we apologize in advance!
