Pool Location and Parking

Benington-Farrington is a neighborhood pool located at 8819 Colchester Ridge Road, Knoxville, TN 37922. There is a small parking lot that will have reserved spots for coaches, meet directors and handicap spectators. If we have any spectators that would need a reserved space, please reply to this email.

All other parking is located along the streets (essentially flat so walking is not too strenuous). NO PARKING s allowed along the grass medians in the subdivision. Parking is only allowed on a single side of the street to allow for emergence vehicles if needed. Please do not block any driveways. Illegally parked cars will be towed. A parking map is attached for your reference.

Warm-up and Start Times

• BFST warm-up begins at 5:00 pm
• USC warm-up begins at 5:30 pm
• Meet will begin at 6:10 pm

Clerk of Course

BFST will have a Clerk of Course set up behind the diving board that is open to all age groups. The area behind the blocks is tight and therefore we will have volunteers to take one heat at a time to that area. Our clerk of course volunteers can assist with ensuring our team's swimmers are in the correct location for their events as well. BFST will happily work together to help get the kids where they need to be at the correct time.

Pool Deck Info

BFRA does not allow for children to play on the play structure or in the baby pool during swim meets. Kindly help us keep kids away from those areas as necessary. The visiting team area is to the left of the pool as you enter the deck area and extends behind the shallow/turn end of the pool. The good news is that we get the first shade of the night. The scoring table will be in the far left along the side behind the starter/block end of the pool. Please allow for traffic flow of runners and S&T when setting up spectator chairs.

Meet Procedure

Swimmers are not allowed to dive in the shallow end of the pool. the only events that are affected by this policy are the 10 and under relays. The 2^nd and 4^th relay swimmers in all 8 and under and 9-10 relays will perform an in-water start. They will move out workers so that all other events will start from the blocks.

Concessions

They will update you ASAP re: what concessions will be offered at the meet.
