MEET VS. WSY: TOMORROW NIGHT AT 6:00 PM

Here are some additional details about the Meet:

Facility Details:

The West Side Y pool is located at 400 Winston Rd, Knoxville, TN 37909. It's a 10 lane (8 competition lanes) pool. The pool bottom slants upward across the lanes (ie: lane 1 is deeper at the start and finish ends than lane 8), so each lane has a varying depth. Lane 1 is the deepest, and lane 8 the most shallow. All 8 competition lanes have blocks and have the required minimum 4' depth. There are permanent ladders in lane 1, but it is slightly wider.

Concessions:

Their team will be selling concessions. They will have items such as pizza, candy bars, soft drinks, and fruit. They accept payment by cash only.

Spectator Seating:

WSY has limited spectator seating inside the fence. While the facility does provide some chairs, there are not enough for everyone. All seating is bring your own (chair, blanket, etc.). They have a great hill on the South side of the pool that will allow for any number of parents to sit and observe the meet from outside the fence. Away teams will typically sit on the far side of the pool from the entrance.

Parking:

WSY has reasonably sufficient parking at their facility. The parking lot "down the hill" from the pool is the closest parking. There is also overflow parking in the church parking lot across the street from the entrance (off Winston Rd).

Meet Details: Our meet is set to begin at 6:00 pm. WSY athletes will warm up 5:00 - 5:30 pm and our team will have the pool from 5:30 - 6:00 pm. Please plan to arrive by 5:15 for check-in.

T-SHIRTS, CAPS AND RIBBONS

T-shirts and caps will be available at the WSY Meet. If you have not picked up your t-shirt, please see Palmer Neubauer. Caps are $10 and can be purchased with cash at the Meet or via our website.

Ribbons are available in the Family Boxes, which are located poolside at our practices.

HOME MEET VS. ROCKWOOD

We will have our final home meet on Friday, July 9 versus Rockwood. Swimmer sign-ups are now open. Job sign-ups will be opening soon.

SMOKY MOUNTAIN INVITATIONAL

We have submitted our paperwork and entry fees for the Smoky Mountain Invitational, which will be held July 10-11 at Springbrook Park in Alcoa. We will provide details on warm-ups and events closer to the dates of the Meet.

POOL PARTY FOR AGES 11-UP WEDNESDAY NIGHT

There will be a pool party for Ages 11-Up at the Lyons Crossing Pool in West Knoxville this Wednesday evening from 6:00-8:00. Please see the link below for details:
