Our next meet is THIS THURSDAY, JUNE 28 versus Fort Sanders Health and Fitness Storm. This will likely be our toughest meet of the season, so please make plans to attend.

MEET JUNE 28 VERSUS THE fshfc STORM: Swimmer and Job Sign-up

We will take on the fshfc Storm this Thursday, June 28 at 6:00 pm. The meet will be held at the Fort Sanders pool in West Knoxville, which is located at 270 Fort Sanders West Blvd. just off the Pellissippi Parkway.

All swimmers should arrive and be ready to swim at 5:00. Our warm-up will begin promptly at 5:30. Be sure that your swimmer checks in at the check-in table.

Sign-ups are now OPEN! Please indicate whether or not your swimmer(s) will be able to attend the meet by 11:00 am on TUESDAY JUNE 26. If you are unsure, please mark them as attending and leave a note for the coaches. Also, if you are NOT attending, please indicate that as well.

Please be sure that you sign up using the link below. Coach Joe WILL NOT be able to add swimmers once the line-up is finalized.

We will post the link for Job Sign-up as soon as we hear from the Storm.

We will have swim caps available for purchase at the Meet. Cost is $15 (cash or check).

Team t-shirts are available for pick-up at practice. See Coach Joe if your swimmers have not received theirs.

TEAM PHOTOS

Our team photo will be made on Monday, July 9 at 6:00 pm. TSS Photography will be making our photographs. Order forms for group and individual photos will be available soon.

GKAISA CITY MEET T-SHIRTS

It’s already that time! We are taking orders for GKAISA City Meet t-shirts. Cost per shirt is $15, and proceeds go to defray the costs of City Meet, as well as to provide scholarships for Senior Swimmers (our own Miles Kredich was a winner last year)!

Your child’s name will be printed on the back. For swimmers 11-Up, please order the Friday shirt. For swimmers 10-Under, please order the Saturday shirt. Orders are being taken under the Merchandise tab on our website.

SMOKY MOUNTAIN INVITATIONAL

Sign-ups are now open for the Smoky Mountain Invitational, which will be held on July 14 (for swimmers 11-Up) and July 15 (for swimmers 10-Under) at the Springbrook Pool in Alcoa. Sign-ups will close at 11:00 am on July 3. THIS IS A HARD DEADLINE THAT CANNOT BE EXTENDED.

PRACTICE CHANGES WEEK OF JULY 4

Because of the 4^th of July holiday and because so many of our families are traveling, we will not practice July 4, 5 or 6.

HOW TO VIEW YOUR SWIMMER'S TIMES

To see times from a specific meet:

• Click on Calendar
• Click on Meet Entries a completed meet

To view best overall time for each event:

• In the upper right corner, click the Welcome link
• Click on My Account
• Under Family Members, click the swimmer's name

Best time for each event will be listed with a note of the meet where that time was recorded.

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED TO ORGANIZE AGE-GROUP SOCIALS

We need some parents to organize age-group social activities. If you are willing to pull something together for your child's age group, please contact Angelia Nystrom with details so that we can send out a team email. Ideas for activities include group lunch at Chick-fil-a, ice cream or sno-cones, bowling, a movie, etc.

PRIVATE COACHING AVAILABLE

If you are interested in private coaching for your swimmer, please see Coach Joe at practice to complete a form. Forms should be submitted and payment should be made with ReNee in the AJCC office.
